FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ENVELOPEAMERICA EXPANDS, EXCELS, EDUCATES
New Castle, DE, April 2005 – Trade printer EnvelopeAmerica, of New Castle, DE, is continuing to take on the printing industry, while offering more to their customers.
The company continues to expand their operations. EnvelopeAmerica is moving south in order to better serve the trade from two locations. And they are becoming more involved with their customersto help their distributors grow their revenue they assist in educating their sales and customer service teams.
EnvelopeAmerica Migrates South
EnvelopeAmerica and their sister company FileAmerica, of Fordyce, AR, have made a move that will benefit existing customers as well as prospective clients.
In strengthening the relationship between the two companies, file products as well as envelope and letterhead printing are available from both FileAmerica and EnvelopeAmerica locations.
"Our file customers are a great fit for our envelope products, and our envelope customers are always looking for unique, profitable products to sell," Mark Monahan, president of EnvelopeAmerica, said. "The joining of these two companies is a great fit for our customers."
A 30-year–old trade-service company, FileAmerica has gradually marked its territories in the south and beyond with custom products delivered quickly at prices that allow for healthy markups. Together the two companies have the ability and resources to service the trade on a national scale.
Take Me To The Mailbox
Direct mail is coming back with a vengeance. The United States Postal Service (USPS) recently reported its highest quarterly growth in 15 years, due largely to financial direct mail and catalogues. With new technology and changes in telemarketing legislation, direct mail is an even more effective source to reach targeted groups or individuals with a personal message.
According to the USPS direct mail accounts for 19.8% of the market share of U.S. advertising expenditure; that's a significant increase from a two-year reign of 19.4%. Direct advertising has passed newspaper advertising, and is narrowing the gap with television.
The industry has been getting increasing creative with its piecesincorporating eye-catching art in four or more colors and utilizing highly targeted databases to produce jaw–dropping response rates. EnvelopeAmerica has been on the frontlines printing such pieces and meeting the tight deadlines of direct mail production schedules. The company's new printing equipment provides significantly faster set ups, insuring greater flexibility. "While we produce a significant volume of black corner card #10 envelope work, Monahan notes, most of your growth has been with distributors who are moving into the direct marketing world."
The timelines and the print quality are critical to the success of mail. And Monahan points out that distributors are primed to take advantage of the increasing direct mail world.
"Knowledgeable brokers are benefiting from the reductions in customer staffing and are handling more complete direct mail kits–from the data to the printing to the mailing and beyond. Costs are secondary to the response rates–it's a great time to be in this industry."
A Knowledgeable Sales Team Sells More
EnvelopeAmerica is a firm believer in the more you know, the more you can sell. There are many aspects to the printing industry and to direct that can make it a bit uncomfortable for newcomers.
"Our approach has been to educate customers about the industry–to help them understand it well enough to speak confidently to their customers," Monahan said. "Because of the tremendous amounts or products they handle for their customers, they have stronger relationships. Sometimes all they need is a little bit of knowledge."
EnvelopeAmerica offers complimentary seminars that can be custom tailored to suite your company. Whether your sales team needs to be refreshed on the basics or requires a better understanding of the more complex, EnvelopeAmerica covers a range of industry topics including: envelope manufacturing and printing fundamentals, "postal regulations for dummies," and mailing and inserting production basics.
